How do you remove vacuum odor step by step?
- Turn the vacuum off and unplug it. If it is cordless, take it off the charger.
- Empty the bin. If it is washable, wash it with lukewarm water. If the vacuum uses bags, change the bag.
- Take out the filters. Wash the washable ones; shake the dust out of the others. The manual tells you which is which.
- Cut the hair wound around the brush with scissors and pull it off, then look inside the hose.

In most homes the vacuum lives in a narrow closet or a pantry, and the odor inside it moves in there as well. Don't put the vacuum away with a full bin.
