Short answer: In restaurants, hotels and other businesses, odor directly affects guest review scores and return visits. Scented room sprays are not suited to food areas, and an ozone machine cannot run during service. ODORGO PRO is fragrance-free and water-based; it is applied to the air of a dining room, lobby or cold room with a ULV/fogger (cold fogging) device, where it binds and neutralizes the odor molecule, and about 10 minutes before service is enough. It can also be sprayed directly on surfaces such as carpet, trash areas and minibars.

I am a chemical and biomolecular engineer, and one of my first field jobs was odor consulting for a hotel and restaurant group. At first I thought, "If there is a bad smell you ventilate and it goes away."

Then I saw up close the grease smell seeping from the kitchen into the dining room, a corridor carpet that had smelled the same for months, and the trash storage behind the bar. This odor is not a gas drifting past; it is a chemical residue settled on surfaces and in the air. And a guest starts deciding on the star rating with the first breath at the door.

Why is odor harder to handle in a business?

Odor is part of revenue. Scented room sprays from the store are not the choice for food areas, and an ozone machine produces a reactive gas, so it cannot run during service while people are present. A business needs a method that fits a food area and does not stop service. Sector pages: restaurant odor control and hotel odor control. What does ODORGO do instead of masking?

ODORGO is a water-based odor eliminator built on five plant-derived essential oils: pine needle, anise, clove, cedarwood and lime. It does not cover odor with perfume. It draws the odor molecule in like a magnet, binds it and converts it into an odorless compound.

What I like most as an engineer is the pH range listed on the Safety Data Sheet (5–8 for the PRO line, 5–7 for the gel). That is not a strongly acidic range, so it works on acidic odors (kitchen grease, beer aldehydes) and basic ones (ammonia, trash) at the same time. The active technology has been in use in the USA and the EU for more than 30 years and is rooted in research at Delaware State University. Being fragrance-free, it adds no new scent; the guest only senses that the bad odor is gone.

ODORGO spray and gel show up to 98% odor elimination effectiveness. The formula is vegan and biodegradable.

The fragrance-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free, dye-free, sulfate-free, and alcohol-free claims are verified by tests conducted at laboratories accredited by TÜRKAK (Turkish Accreditation Agency) and ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation). The manufacturer declares that no toxins or harsh chemicals are used in the formula.

How is it applied with a ULV or fogger device?

  1. For spot treatment, spray ODORGO PRO Odor Eliminator Spray 500 ml directly onto the surface.
  2. For volume treatment, meaning the air of a whole dining room or lobby, run PRO through a ULV or fogger (cold fogging) device. The device turns the liquid into a fine mist of 5–30 microns that fills the space and catches odor molecules in the air.
  3. Fog for about 10 minutes before service; that is enough for most dining rooms.
  4. In food areas, apply to the surfaces after the products have been taken off the line.

Cold fogging uses no heat, leaves no marks, and surfaces dry quickly, which suits enclosed business spaces. In hotels it can be run in line with the HVAC (ventilation) system. For high-volume use the 5 L drum is more economical; ask through the contact page.

The spray is water-based; you can use it on any surface that water does not harm. On water-sensitive fabrics and surfaces (unfinished or untreated wood, silk, leather, electronics, etc.), test on a small hidden area first.

What about facility-scale odor?

Wastewater, production and storage odors are handled by our industrial and corporate solutions, built with high-pressure nozzles (atomization), fogging fans and vapor-phase systems. The industry solutions page lists them, and industrial odor complaints: H2S, ammonia and VOC covers the technical side.

Don't cover the odor, remove it at the source

Spray for surfaces, ULV/fogger for volume, and service does not have to stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Restaurant kitchen odor is reaching the dining room. What should I do?

Apply ODORGO PRO to the dining room with a ULV/fogger device for about 10 minutes before service. You can also spray it directly on surfaces where grease is heavy.

Is there a lasting fix for carpet odor in a hotel corridor?

Yes, as long as the source load does not build up again. Spray the carpet at night and fog over it; in corridors with constant traffic, add an ODORGO Odor Eliminator Gel 250 g standing flat and still, or a continuous-release device, for base odor.

Which device is used: nebulization or fogging?

A ULV or fogger (cold fogging) device. Nebulization has the same aim; in practice ODORGO is applied with ULV/fogger equipment, and in hotels it works in line with the HVAC system.

Can it be used in a catering cold room where food is stored?

Yes, on the surfaces after the products have been taken off the line. The formula is water-based, fragrance-free and biodegradable.

Is one product enough for mixed beer and cigarette odor in a pub?

Yes. The formula works on beer aldehydes and on nicotine and tar compounds at the same time.

Is treating the minibar fridge in every room economical?

Yes. Spraying the inner surface and wiping it is enough, and one small spray bottle is enough for many room preparations.

What do you recommend for a very large facility or factory?

Our industrial solutions with high-pressure nozzles, fogging fans and vapor-phase systems, covering wastewater, production and storage.
