How Does It Work? As the candle burns, the melting soy wax releases the plant-based odor-neutralizing oils inside it (key lime, pine needle, anise, clove, cedarwood) into the air. Instead of covering odors, these oils bind odor molecules and render them inactive; the candle's light natural scent then withdraws on its own once the job is done.

Most Effective Use — Meet the Odor Before It Appears This is a highly concentrated, powerful formula. The most effective approach is to meet the odor at its source, before it even appears: light the candle before a known odor source begins — before cooking/frying, preparing fish or onions, or lighting a cigarette/cigar. This way the odor is neutralized before it spreads into the air.
Burning and Use Offers a total burn time exceeding 40 hours. The first burn is the most important: keep the candle lit until the entire surface melts from edge to edge. Soy candles have a "first burn memory"; if extinguished before the surface has fully melted, the candle tunnels (a pit forms in the center) and melts only within that narrow diameter on later burns. The most reliable indicator is visual: burn until the surface is completely melted from edge to edge. The time depends on the jar's diameter — as a general rule, about 1 hour for every 2.5 cm (1 inch) of diameter. Measured dimensions of the ODORGO 230 g candle jar: height 10 cm, diameter 8.5 cm; accordingly, the first burn takes about 3–3.5 hours (under the 4-hour single-session limit). 1–2 hours is NOT enough for this diameter and leads to tunneling. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Burn on a flat, heat-resistant surface away from drafts. Stop using the candle when a thin layer of wax remains at the base.
Safety Never leave a burning candle unattended; burn on a flat, heat-resistant surface away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials. The jar becomes hot while the candle burns.

The ODORGO candle works best when you address the odor at its source, before it even appears. After lighting, run the AC or crack a window to create a gentle airflow so the odor-eliminating molecules spread faster. Effectiveness depends on the odor's intensity and the size of the space; for strong odors you can extend the burn time or use more than one candle.
Before you start cooking, light the candle near the stove in a safe spot and crack a window. Keep it burning throughout cooking and for 10–15 minutes afterward, so the odor is neutralized before it spreads into the air.
When smoking in the living room, at the table, or in a winter garden, light the candle and keep it burning for about an hour after smoking ends. For heavy smoking, extend the time or use a second candle.
When you expect odors to form (guests, a dinner party), light the candle 15–30 minutes before the event. The odor-eliminating molecules spread in advance, so the odor is met as it forms.
In damp, enclosed areas such as bathrooms, basements, or pantries, burn the candle to clear mold and heavy damp odors. Not as long-lasting as the gel, but a quick and effective refresh.
In rooms with pet, cleaning-chemical, or fresh-paint odors, burn the candle on a safe surface; the odor is neutralized at its source rather than masked.
Remember: a room with two cigarettes is not the same as one with a whole pack. For strong odors or large areas, extend the candle's burn time, use more than one candle if needed, and repeat by burning at intervals.
