Why does my sink smell like sewage?

The most common cause is a dried-out P-trap. The U-shaped bend under the sink holds a small amount of water that blocks drain air from entering the room; in a sink left unused for a long period that water evaporates and the smell comes straight through. Pour one to two litres of water down the drain to refill the trap. If the smell persists, organic residue around the drain opening is the cause: remove and clean the trap, then wipe the drain area and basin with ODORGO Multi-Purpose Odour Eliminator. Why does bathroom odour keep coming back?
